On Thursday, June 20, 2024, Everlast Minerals Ltd signed a Mining Lease Agreement with the Bureau of Mineral Development, a division under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. This agreement grants Everlast Minerals Ltd the right to extract heavy minerals from Block-A, Block-B and Block-C of its ‘Gaibandha Heavy Mineral Mine’ located in Gaibandha District, Bangladesh. The agreement was officially signed by Mr. Abdul Kayowm Sarker, Director General of the Bureau of Mineral Development, and Mr. Delwar H. Titu, Managing Director of Everlast Minerals Ltd.

November 2022

Independent Geology Report and Mineral Resources Estimate:

Ms. Alison Cole and her team at Geosmining are still compiling and working towards mining modeling based on the test results received. EML’s General Manager and Senior Geologist, Mr. Bahar Biswas (MAusImm) is also working with Alison to prepare JORC table 1 and drafted a geology report. Between the 20th and 23rd of November 2022, Alison @Geosmining together with representatives of EML’s shareholders, visited our Gaibandha exploration site, our mineral sands research center, our Dhaka office and warehouse, etc. Strictly following JORC reporting’s compliance standard, Alison thoroughly inspected all the items required and finally all checkboxes were ticked by Alison. Both Alison and EML team are very pleased with the outcome of this successful site inspection. According to Alison, Geosmining should be able to provide us with Independent Geology Report (IGA) and Mineral Resources Estimate Report (MRE) in January 2023.


During November 2022, we visited Bangladesh Mineral Development Bureau (BMD) and had a very good meeting with BMD’s Director General, other Directors and BMD’s geologists, where they reiterated their full support for our mineral sands project in Gaibandha.

We also visited our Laboratory located in the Department of Geology, Dhaka University. A very warm welcome was received by both current Chairman and ex-chairman of the Department of Geology and eminent professors. This visit further strengthened our good relationship with the department, Alison was even invited to run a class for the student, but due to our tight schedule we might arrange such a program in the future.


In the afternoon on the 23rd of November, we attended a signing ceremony with the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR). Everlast Minerals Ltd and BCSIR entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the collaboration work to develop the mineral sand industry in Bangladesh. The Chairman of BCSIR hosted the ceremony for this very important event. This signing ceremony was broadcasted on most Bangladesh national TV stations and national newspapers.

Exploration Sample Analysis:

We had shipped a total of 1,895 samples (1,250 kg) to an Australian Laboratory for total heavy mineral (THM) analysis and received a total of 2,065 test results on the 12th of October 2022, then further VHM of composite samples were analyzed by another reputable Australian Laboratory. Based on the results received, we found average THM is around 8.5% across the whole site (4,000 Hectare) with a 30-meter depth, and average VHM is approximately 4.81%, the average Garnet is approximately 8.74% Magnetite is 1.79%. We expect that the last batch of VHM results will be received before Christmas this year.

In October ‘2022, EML was a proud sponsor of the Golden Jubilee of the Department of Accounting, University of Chittagong.

September 2022

After all spiral equipment arrived at our site in June 2022, it took two months for site construction and spiral installation under the supervision from an overseas expert. Spiral commissioning was successfully completed in September 2022 using environmentally friendly recycled water.  We then ordered and installed a shaking table to further refine our THM. The THM quality has been greatly improved with the shaking table integration. The company decided to order a magnetic separator in October 2022, and was delivered to the site in December 2022.  Under the MoU with the Institute of Mining, Mineralogy and Metallurgy (IMMM), BCSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology Bangladesh, our THM has been proceeded through an electromagnetic separation plant in IMMM.  Six products have been generated, Zircon, Rutile, Ilmenite, Garnet, Magnetite and Quartz (high percentage silica sands). All products were sent to Australia for further metallurgy analysis in December 2022. Based on the results, we will research further to find the most suitable mining plan for our project.

Bureau of Mineral Development (BMD) on Tuesday the 1st day of September 2020 inked an Exploration License Agreement with Everlast Minerals Ltd (EML) for mineral sands exploration over an area of 4000 hectares at the sand-bars and send-bed of the Brahmaputra-Jamuna River under Gaibandha Disreict of Bangladesh.

I the virtual agreement signing ceremony, EMRD Senior Secretary Mr. Anisur Rahman attended as the Chief Guest, High Commissioner of Bangladesh High Commission to Australia HE Mr. Mohammad Sufiur Rahman joined as the guest of honour while MBD Director General Mr. Md. Everlast Minerals Delegation Meet Bangladesh Senior Government Officials:
At the beginning of December 2017, a Delegation from Everlast Minerals Ltd (‘EML’), led by George Edwards (Chairman of the Australian Mining Association) and comprising senior representatives, including 3 Bangladeshi, 3 Australian and 7 Chinese nationalities, visited the Republic of Bangladesh.  EML has applied for an Exploration Licence for Mineral Sands with an aim to develop the Mineral Sand industry in Bangladesh. Other potential areas of cooperation were also discussed with Bangladesh Government Officials, including power projects, building projects and financial systems.

The Delegation met with the Governmental Senior Officials of the Republic of Bangladesh to discuss the development of a mineral sands industry in the country for the benefit of the people of Bangladesh. Senior Governmental Officials included Dr. Kazi M. Aminul Islam, Executive Chairman, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority, Prime Minister’s Office; Mr. Paban Chowdhury, Executive Chairman (Secretary), Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority, Prime Minister’s Office; Mr. Md. Abdul Quaiyum, Director, Bureau of Mineral Development; Dr. Mohammad Rajib, Senior Geologist and Director of BSMEC under BAEC and Dr. Reshed Md. Exploration License Agreement

between BMD and EML

Bureau of Mineral Development (BMD) on Tuesday the 1st day of September 2020 inked an Exploration License Agreement with Everlast Minerals Ltd (EML) for mineral sands exploration over an area of 4000 hectares at the sand-bars and send-bed of the Brahmaputra-Jamuna River under Gaibandha Disreict of Bangladesh.

I the virtual agreement signing ceremony, EMRD Senior Secretary Mr. Anisur Rahman attended as the Chief Guest, High Commissioner of Bangladesh High Commission to Australia HE Mr. Mohammad Sufiur Rahman joined as the guest of honour while MBD Director General Mr. Md. Zafar Ullah (Additional Secretary) was in the Chair.

DC Gaibandha District Mr. Md. Abdul Matin, EML Vice Chairman Mr. George Edwards (Chairman, Australian Mining Association), EML Chairman Mr. Paul Qian (Australian Mining Association) and EML Managing Director Mr. Delwar Hossain Titu were also joined the program as guest.

DECEMBER 2017

Everlast Minerals Delegation Meet Bangladesh Senior Government Officials:
At the beginning of December 2017, a Delegation from Everlast Minerals Ltd (‘EML’), led by George Edwards (Chairman of the Australian Mining Association) and comprising senior representatives, including 3 Bangladeshi, 3 Australian and 7 Chinese nationalities, visited the Republic of Bangladesh.  EML has applied for an Exploration Licence for Mineral Sands with an aim to develop the Mineral Sand industry in Bangladesh. Other potential areas of cooperation were also discussed with Bangladesh Government Officials, including power projects, building projects and financial systems.

The Delegation met with the Governmental Senior Officials of the Republic of Bangladesh to discuss the development of a mineral sands industry in the country for the benefit of the people of Bangladesh. Senior Governmental Officials included Dr. Kazi M. Aminul Islam, Executive Chairman, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority, Prime Minister’s Office; Mr. Paban Chowdhury, Executive Chairman (Secretary), Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority, Prime Minister’s Office; Mr. Md. Abdul Quaiyum, Director, Bureau of Mineral Development; Dr. Mohammad Rajib, Senior Geologist and Director of BSMEC under BAEC and Dr. Reshed Md. Ekram Ali, Director General, Geological Survey of Bangladesh. We also engaged our senior advisor Dr. Khorshed Alam, Former Director General of, the Geological Survey of Bangladesh. The team visited the applied EL area during their stay in Bangladesh.
